Work with us

We are always looking for curious, motivated people who want to build robots that make a real difference in healthcare, mobility, and human–machine interaction.

We're currently welcoming applications. Prospective Master's / Ph.D. students, research interns, and undergraduate project students are encouraged to reach out early — see how to apply below.

Ph.D. and Master's students

Pursue graduate research in robotics, haptics, soft robotics, or medical devices through KUAS's Faculty of Engineering graduate programs.

Laboratory projects

Selected third-year KUAS-E students can take on a Laboratory Project in the lab — hands-on research that leads to a Master's with us.

Research interns

Short- and longer-term internships for students wanting hands-on experience in design, prototyping, and experiments.

Lab members featured in KUAS's Student's Voice series, sharing what it's like to study robotics at KUAS.

What we look for

A strong interest in robotics and a willingness to learn by building. Useful (but not required) backgrounds include mechanical/electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or biomedical engineering, plus skills in CAD, programming (Python/C++), embedded systems, or 3D printing. Most of all, we value initiative, rigor, and teamwork.

How to apply

Email Dr. Nisar with a short message describing your interests, along with your CV, academic transcript, and a brief statement of research interests. If your background fits an ongoing project, we'll arrange a conversation. We welcome inquiries year-round; for graduate-program entry, reach out several months ahead of KUAS's admission cycles. Prospective international graduate students should also review the KUAS admissions and KUAS graduate admissions pages for current deadlines.
